1) Second and fourth Mondays (if Monday falls on a national holiday or a substitute holiday, the museum is closed on the following Tuesday)
2) December 29, 2008 - Jan. 1, 2009 (the museum may be closed to prepare for a temporary exhibition or another event.)

Admission free
Fees are required for the museum's temporary exhibitions, collection exhibitions and other events, as well as for the use of the Café.

Museum membership is available.

To attract as many visitors as possible, the museum remains open until 8:00 p.m. and illuminated until 10:00 pm. At its lobby, the museum offers a wide range of information regarding the museum, sightseeing destinations in Nagasaki, and transportation, and responds to a wide range of inquiries from visitors. Also, the museum lends strollers and wheelchairs free of charge, and has a nursing room (used also as a first-aid-station) and baggage lockers.
