Summary
This exhibition, making its debut in Kyushu, introduces the charms of Studio Ghibli’s animated works while tracing the evolution of the NTN (Nippon Television Network) movie program Friday Roadshow and historical events of the era. Visitors can enjoy the world of Ghibli by, among other things, taking pictures of themselves as Ghibli characters in special photo spots, and experiencing spaces imbued with the overwhelming power of the Wasteland and Ohmu, which are featured in the film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. This highly anticipated exhibition attracted approximately 240,000 people in Tokyo, and some 200,000 visitors when it was later held in Kyoto and Hiroshima.
